What can we say of cookbooks that never has been said?

All cookbooks are written for money, but it's what is done with the money that counts. The proceeds from the cookbooks purchased at the craftstore will go to the CISS to provide the small housing unit and activity centre for seniors.

The authors of these 3 books have boiled, fried and otherwise disported themselves to that end. They have seen the need for seniors housing and they plan to fullfil it. The housing site is excellent (have you seen it lately?), the island is not only beautiful but geared for emergencies and neighbours are everywhere. Something is always cooking on Cortes, you can believe that!

You will find our recipes on the right side of this page. These recipes come from members, our volunteer cooks and from the CISS Cookbooks. We keep adding to this page, so check back regularly, send in your recipe to cortesseniors@gmail.com or let us know which one you tried and liked best!!! And don't forget to pop into the Craftstore in the summer to purchase "From the Shores of Cortez Island".
